Joy

Last year, I stumbled on a really amazing group of people who choose one word on which to focus all year long.  I joined this group and chose the word serenity.  At different times thoughout 2011, I would find myself in an overwhelming situation, and would start repeating the word "serenity."  I was surprised to find it somewhat helpful!

This year, I have chosen 2 words to focus on...one for my family {joy} and one for myself {transform}.  Each day, we will choose joy.  Find joy in every situation.  Express joy!  This is something that comes very naturally for all of us...so it shouldn't be too much work.  ;)  As for MY word, transform, there are just so many things I want to improve upon this year!  Hopefully, I will be able to share many transformations in 2012.  :)

All of that said...today, we were trapped inside the house due to super yucky rainy cold weather.  What to do what to do?  We came up with something!!

Every once in a while, my littles indulge me and allow me to take their photos.  Today was one o those days.  It really brought all three of us a lot of joy!!!  :)

Glitter letters + balloons + the kiddos = JOY!

Ryleigh was eager to participate!

Michael is a super cool 4 year old now.  His willingness was not as free...but we got there!

Mom, I am not going to smile.

OK bud....let's make faces.  First up, sad face.

Next up, silly face!

And that is all it took!  JOY!

And finally...MY joy.

What a sweet post! I love R's shirt, totally fits w/ the shoot. It's great that you were able to find some joy in this gloomy, gray day. I was expecting sunshine and warm temps. !?! Not sure what happened on that front! Looking forward to hearing all about the transformative days of 2012! :)
