I am constantly blog hopping these days after the kiddos go to bed.  I love finding inspiration from other moms out there having fun with their kids!  I was recently inspired by THIS blogger about a fun handprint/Valentine's Day craft.  Hers turned out so beautifully...and neat.

Photo by Jade...the Super Organiser Mum (see link above)

Mine?  Well that's another story...tons of paint, handprints, footprints, and even a little finger paint snack.  :)

So...since my children went their own way, I decided we will be doing something completely different!  I recently purchased two rolls of Valentine's Day wrapping paper from the dollar bins at Target.  I plan to mount Michael and Ryleigh's creations in various shapes on the wrapping paper to create February placemats!  I just need a place to hard laminate them...any suggestions?  I will DEFINITELY post pics when they are complete.  I can't wait to use them and keep them forever.

Joy of Love

I just got my welcome email from Kelly Willette for her FREE Joy of Love online class.  As a participant of all of her classes, I can tell you first hand that they are fulllllll of great info and inspiration.  If you love to take photos and have a little extra time (really not very much)...check it out by clicking the button below!  I can't wait to post all my pics!

This is a photo I took at my friend, Natalie's wedding.  I am so excited to be able to have a place to show it!

Fabulous Friday!!!!

One of the things I am learning is that I am a huge eater of words.  I remember saying all different kinds of things that I would NEVER do once I had Dora the Explorer (which happens to be on while I am typing this even though both kiddos are asleep), use those car grocery carts, allow Michael to ride motorized vehicles...the list goes on and on.  One of these things I was particularly adamant about was playing in the snow.  I do not like cold weather.  I am Hawaiian ;) and I only like warmth.  I remember saying to a good friend of mine that if she took the older kids out in the snow, that I would watch the younger ones inside.  Well, now that I have older kiddos...I LOVE it!  I think I am more excited than they are (almost).  I can't wait to play in it with them!  Even though the time spent getting ready to go out in it is far greater than the actual play Mick's is worth it!

On this Fabulous Friday, I am highlighting one of my very favorite photoshop/photography blogs.  It is called The CoffeeShop Blog and can be found HERE.  It is written by an amazingly talented woman who shares much of her awesome stuff for FREE.  For this blog post, I used her CoffeeShop Web Storyboard.  I love how it turned out...and it couldn't be easier to use!  Here is a link.  :)

We had such an amazing day in the snow today!!!

If you have photoshop or elements...check out her site!  You will LOVE her stuff!!
Have a great weekend!!!

The girls

Lily and Ryleigh are inseparable when we are all together!  I love to see Lily dote all over my sweet little baby.  She absolutely loooves her.  We had a crazy, fun, wild, awesome playdate yesterday before the snow hit.  I made it home just in time...after a 2 hour drive.  ;)

I LOVE this one...the girls creating!  Is it me, or are Ry's legs bigger than Lil's?

Spooning on the couch after nap.  *sigh*

Ryleigh playing dress up!!  (And M3 in the back running around like a crazy man!)

Lily was very good about getting Ryleigh all ready!

And this is what I came home to...LOVE.

Looking down...a fresh perspective

I was recently inspired by this post I found on Becky Higgins' blog.  It is a challenge to try snapping photos from a different perspective than you are used to.  To try to take photos from a bird's eye view...of your everyday life.  So, on one of our super cooped up winter/sick days, I did just that.  I waked around with my point-and-shoot and just snapped away, looking down, at our everyday life.  Here is what I saw...
Ryleigh and her baby having lunch

Cars and a snow plow...doesn't everyone have this?

Michael, the pianist.

The stuff that makes the early days possible.

Michael's rocket rug in his big boy room!

Ryleigh reading.  :)

The counter of meds.  One, if not both of them have been sick since November!

My attempt at a photo of the two of them playing on Michael's bed.

Ryleigh :)

Michael listening to his book on CD.  He loves those things!

I found the books on CD through my book of the month club...but Amazon sells them too.  The best part is that they use the real voices from the movies.  :)  Cars, Toy Story, Cinderella...  Here is a link.

And looking down after the kiddos go to bed...I see Project Life.  I am enjoying it sooo much!  The kits are available again on Amazon!!!

These journaling cards are the coolest!  They fold out for longer entries.  I wrote all of the words Ry can say on this one!

Fabulous day late...

Oops!  The children and I spent the day and Grandmother and Granddad's yesterday so I neglected to write my Fabulous Friday post!!!  Here we are...a day late.  But, better late than never!

I actually want to share two things I got for Christmas...things I want to remember that I once loved.  :)  The first is my new kitchen iHome.  It is PERFECT for music lovers.  It is a small docking station for iPods of all kinds.  I have the iPod Touch and Mick has the Classic.  Needless to say, they have very different song selections on them, save a few mutual faves.  :)  The Kitchen iHome will support either one!  And has two kitchen timers, a magnetic remote, and is super small so it doesn't take up a ton of counter space.  The best part?  It sounds AWESOME!  Little Ryleigh loves to "kitchen dance"...a trait she comes by honestly.  We are thoroughly enjoying it.

The next Fabulous Friday share is all about comfort...seriously the BEST blankets we have ever owned can be found HERE.  They are the Luxury Plush Throws by Restoration Hardware.  We currently own 5.  I am not kidding...5.  Michael has one he calls "big red."  The rest split their time between our bed and the couches.  They are currently sold out (sorry) but I HIGHLY recommend them!!!  They make awesome gifts.  I already have my sister's family hooked!

I couldn't help it...

I had to post twice today...these are just too cute to wait.

Lily...kissing "her girl."

The girls!

Playing outside brother like sister.  :)

He loves this thing...even though he is way too big for it!

Ry is starting to be interested in coloring!!  YAY!

Pure talent.

So fun!  (don't you love the mess?)

And the inevitable...eating the crayons.

I love this...Jackson drives the tractors around by the steering wheel!

M3 is always so excited to play with J5s tractors.

Product RAVE!

Michael's homework was to crate a collage on a piece of construction paper to be laminated and used as a placemat at school (so fun)!  So, we went through all the photos I used to make our 2010 photobook (and then some) and chose his favorites.  I then used this awesome thing called PhotoSheet to put all the photos in a grid to be printed on a plain 8.5x11 piece of presentation paper.  Here it is!!

I then used my paper cutter to cut them out and arrange them on his placemat.  He loved it!  The super cool thing about this program is that you can make your photos any size as well as the paper you are printing on!

Here is a link to PhotoSheet if you want to use it too!  It is AWESOME!

Ryleigh the little mommy

It is just in her. The "mommy instinct."  She mommys every little being she has.  She hugs and kisses her Little People.  She loves to give her babies their bottles and then give them pats on the back.  Today, she woke up from her nap and was giving lots of love to a bear she has had in her crib for a while now.  She never really paid attention to it until today.  She wanted to bring it with us and have a snack with it!  *sigh*

This last photo has one of the super cool Ali Edwards 365 overlay brushes that I learned about while reading one of my favorite blogs written by Kelly Willette.  Check it out!!!

Winter fun :)

Winter is a tough time for us around here.  It is soooo cold outside that we really can't spend a ton of time out there...even though that is our favorite place to be!  We have to find ways to entertain ourselves inside.  That is no easy feat!  Luckily we have many old favorites to keep us happy.

From the time Michael could move, he has been extremely loving with the puppies.  He has hugged them, laid on them, kissed them, and played with them every day he can.  Today, Michael "took care of JackJack because he needed a little rest."   He gave him his guy and a blanket and snuggled him until he felt better.  :)

Ryleigh on the other hand couldn't really care less about the pups most of the time.  She would much rather spend her time "reading" in her room...which really means making a huuuge mess.  She also loves to play in her crib.  :)

And of obligatory Gussie shot.  Can't have the other three represented and not him!!!  :)

Baby love

My sweet Ryleigh is such a little mommy.  She loooooves her babies so much!  Especially her newest baby, Bitty Baby.  She feeds her, covers her with a blanket, makes me swaddle her, and gives her a bottle.  She is such a proud little mama!

so proud

This is her naughty grin...she knows she is not supposed to play Hungry Hungry Hippos.  ;)
